The diversity of the terroirs by the side of the estuary and a greater proportion of Merlot grapes combine to produce wines worth discovering.
The most prestigious growths come from the plateau convex side, along the gravelly plateaus called “croupes” which ensure good draining and a sunnier exposure.

The wines can be slightly rough and rustic when young, they require a few years to find themselves and develop a complex bouquet. They have an excellent and very rich tannic content and show a beautiful dark red hue.
Robust but without excess, they can age for a very long time, while keeping youth and freshness.
