Lussac-Saint-Emilion A.O.C.
A Gallo-roman legend tells that one Lucius planted the first vines in the area, and gave his name to the parish of Lussac

In the centre of the appellation area, clay and limestone cover the plateau, in the north and west the soils are of sand and clay-loam or sandy, or of sand and gravel; the exposure is excellent and the slopes well drained.

All these factors play a part in the production of quality wines.

Lussac wines have a deep colour, a subtle bouquet as fine as it is generous. They resemble Montagne, their neighbour.

They reach their best after 3 or 4 years and can be kept 7 to 8 years.
