Médoc A.O.C.
Over there they say that the best vineyards look at the river

Médoc is situated right at the top of the peninsula which stretches in the north of the region between ocean and estuary.

Classical castles set in the middle of tree clumps, others sporting a mad eclectic architecture, rose shrubs planted at the ends of the vine rows, all this gives the region a noble and elegant distinction.

Essentially this region comprises of Pyrenean gravel terroirs, of Garonne gravel terroirs (one of the best for wine growing) and of a few clay and limestone soils ; it produces many growths worth discovering and a few wines full of an interesting originality.

Médoc wines are made typical by their rounded flavour, their bouquet and their ruby hue.

They keep 5 to 10 years for the good conservation vintage, and 15 to 20 years for the outstanding years.
