
The Libourne-Montagne agricultural college, in this village, is said to be one of the best in the whole of France for vine-growing, wine producing, and all matters related to wines.

Depending on the area, the wines’colour varies in depth, from cherry to vermillion, or even ruby, or crimson.
The wines have a lively flowery nose, powerful and sweet; they are elegant and generous.

Various soils : a small area of sand and clay in the north, a larger plateau of clay and limestone in the centre of the appellation area, and limestone slopes in the south.
Consequently the centre and southern wines show a stronger type and are fleshier. The wines from the northern area are aromatic but they vary according to the vintage while being close to the Lalande-Pomerol A.O.C.
